Style Report – Shooting Jeanette Hill’s 2018 Fall Fashion Show

Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well. —Vivienne Westwood

I think Jeanette Hill definitely agrees with Vivienne Westwood when it comes to the importance of fashion. Earlier this Spring, we had the opportunity to work with Jeanette of Jeanette’s Unique Boutique to photograph her bold, fresh fashions for Summer 2018. Featuring her brand ambassadors Keonna Long, Jasmine Thompson and Xiomara Martinez, the shoot was a fun walk on fashion’s wild side. We shared some of the highlights from that shoot in our blog Bold, Fearless Summer.

We went on to do some shoots of the Unique Boutique’s accessory collections, along with a personal brand session for Jeanette to produce her 2018 Look Book. The Look Book encapsulated all the benefits of shopping at the Unique Boutique and hiring Jeanette for professional wardrobe and event styling needs. Jeanette truly offers an all-star experience.

Once again, we got the chance to work with Jeanette and her outstanding team as we photographed her 2018 Fall Fashion Show entitled “Fall Into Fashion”. The show took place on November 4th in Cypress, Texas at The Cypress Alamo. The evening affair showcased four mesmerizing collections with looks ranging from day to evening, with options that pushed the limits of creativity.

Anything with Jeanette’s name on it will include head-to-toe styling with amazing jewelry and footwear to put the finishing touches on every look. Couple that with the extraordinary make-up talents of artist Michelle Cofield and other professional makeup artists on the scene, and you have unbeatable fashion. Also featured in the show were other designers and boutique owners with truly remarkable collections.

What made the Fall Into Fashion event stand out from other shows this season was the beautiful variety of looks and of models. With almost two dozen models walking the runway, every beautiful shade and every shape of woman across a broad age range was represented. Jeanette’s Unique Boutique, along with the other designers and boutique owners’ collections shown, offered something for women of all walks of life.

The event was hosted by motivational speaker and personality Sharae Young, who is also known as urchristiandiva (Facebook) (Instagram). In addition to the phenomenal fashions and exquisite beauty on the runway, the show included some fantastic vendors and booths with the latest in beauty, accessories, luxury hair care and more. The music was bumping all night with an excellent DJ that kept people dancing in their seats.

Jeanette never does anything half way and had an award winning musician give special performances throughout the night. Saxophone player Gregory “Sax Man” Daniels played for a captive audience and moved the audience to their feet. His white rose finale was truly an original sight to see.

Any event like Jeanette’s 2018 Fall Fashion Show requires months of preparation and planning and lots of hard work. The event was produced by the professionals at Unique Vision Event Planners and was a tremendous success. Their hard work and dedication was evident in every detail. They are already gearing up for the next major show for Jeanette and for their other clients.

Part of the proceeds from “The Show” will benefit Cy-Hope. Cy-Hope brings HOPE to all students so they will grow up to be well-educated and productive citizens, making a lasting and positive impact on the community. Cy-Hope serves as a catalyst to bring needs and solutions together. Cy-Hope’s mission is to make life better for all kids in Cy-Fair. Cy-Fair I.S.D. is the third largest school district in Texas, and the largest non-urban school district in the country. Unfortunately, over half of the over 115,000 students in Cy-Fair are labeled as at-risk.

Through diversity, Jeanette offered a night of inclusivity through fashion that was nothing short of inspiring.
